Milltown - Carrboro

I want to start by saying that the staff and service at Milltown were excellent. The beer selection is impressive as well. However, based on the chicken, grilled cheese sandwiches, soup, and deviled eggs that my family tried, I can't recommend it for a meal. The food was simply not up to par. Milltown would be a great spot for enjoying a beer, some snacks, and catching a game, but I wouldn't suggest dining there based on our experience.

I chose Mill City by chance for a casual night out with friends, and it turned out to be a great choice. They have an extensive and interesting selection of beers on tap and in bottles, which definitely did not disappoint. The food is typical bar fare—not particularly special, but it paired well with the beer. While Mill City may not be the most beautiful place, it’s perfect for a laid-back meal.

I would recommend this place more for its adult beverages than for the food. While Milltown is supposed to be a gastropub, the food was quite disappointing; it was at best just average. The waiter had his moments of being attentive, but there were times when we felt neglected. On a positive note, their beer selection is quite extensive, although they didn’t update the list to reflect changes since the end of October when we visited in November.

Horrible experience. The menu being served was not as advertised on their website. The atmosphere was that of a dive. The food was bland. The servers were dressed sloppily; one in particular looked like he hadn't showered (greasy hair, holes in t-shirt). Food was overpriced. Just terrible. Will never EVER return. This was supposed to be for our anniversary.

Great place for a group to gather for an outdoor Sunday Brunch. Food is good and reasonably priced.
