Elmo's Diner - Carrboro

The meal was delicious and the staff was very accommodating. My first order of pancakes came cold and they were very fast to replace it with hot in just a few minutes. I was very pleased with the service, friendliness and style of the restaurant!

Almost everyone knows. Elmo’s l so I’ll just say that when we moved from Cary to the chapel Hill we made a funny extensive search for a breakfast place that we would call home (we eat a lot of breakfast). And we decided that Elmo fits the bill for us and we never regretted the decision. Great food and great staff.

Always busy on the weekend but they do a good job of keeping the flow going. Good diner food.

The prices are a bit high, but the food and service are excellent. The outdoor seating is wonderful, as it gives you the feeling of dining al fresco!

I visited Elmo on a Friday morning, and despite it being a weekday, the place was quite busy. However, we were seated immediately. This diner offers a classic menu with breakfast and lunch options served all day. The staff is friendly, and the menu is extensive, featuring breakfast items, burgers, sandwiches, and salads—all at very reasonable prices. I tried the Santa Fe breakfast bowl, which was both satisfying and tasty. It consists of a base of crispy cornbread and sweet potatoes, topped with avocado, black beans, and I added sausage. This is definitely a great diner to check out when you’re in Chapel Hill.
