Coast Craft Cocktails Calabash

We've been coming here for a few years and have loved it. The rebrand to coast was understandable so ok. The food is no longer high quality however. One entree tasted like freezer not what you expect for a $28 entree. The other was bland and uninspired. Our meal was comped but it's just Disappointing to see because we've loved going here. Service and cocktails were great as usual. Looking at the owner's comments on some of these reviews is revealing. Doubt we will be back.

As locals we have been waiting to get here off-season because we understand they need to make it during the busy season. Waited to see what it was all about and I can tell you it was definitely an amazing experience. We had the scallops which were wonderful and then the Thursday night local special which was the bourbon cocktails and the Smashburger. If they were not so busy I think we would've stayed and had more cocktails because they were amazing the food was great. Definitely looking forward to going back again. I told our server I did not know with bacon jam was but I felt that I was in love with a chef !!!!

We visited Coast with some local friends and were blown away. This little gem is tucked into a small plaza and doesn 't look like much but the interior design is remarkable. The menu is great and we ordered the fish chips (it was the daily special). It 's hard to impress me with fish chips but this was great! The spices were bold and original, and it was gluten free! Fries were great and the dirt pie (roasted root vegetables) were fantastic. Unfortunately the service was terrible, hence the three star review. Staff were rarely available when needed, the table wasn 't maintained with drinks and tidying of empty plates, and the server was clearly frustrated when we asked to split our check by the two families who were dining (it was obvious who was with each family) If I 'm ever back in Carolina Beach I will return.

This is our absolute favorite dinner spot on the Island. The food is exceptional; unique recipes and presentation and fresh and flavorful ingredients. The cocktails are consistently delicious. The liquor selection consists of many small and local distillery sources and the bartenders know exactly how to mix a great drink. The service is always friendly, from the hostess desk to the bar, servers, and food runners. Chandler is our favorite server....actually the only one we 've ever had ! and she always makes us feel welcome and appreciated. This is like one of those great restaurant/bars where everybody knows your name , even if you 're just visiting and they don 't. You 'll feel the welcoming, true chill vibe of Carolina Beach and you 'll get a great meal! Highly recommend!

Coast is iconic. The food? Chefs kiss. The drinks? Best in town, no, best in the world. The staff? Wish they were all my best friends. I'd put them in my wedding, maybe even my will. If you've never been here, I pity you.
