Garden Chinese - Carndonagh

Our experience at this Chinese takeout restaurant was one of the worst we've had. We ordered two dishes and it seemed like they both used a watered-down chow mein sauce, with something added in an attempt to improve it. It was very disappointing. While we didn't expect a gourmet meal from a takeout place, a little more effort would have been appreciated. The fries were fried in old oil, the noodles were overcooked and greasy, and the only decent item was the spring roll. The outdated decor, with peeling 1990s wallpaper, should have been a warning sign. Sometimes you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but in this case, we should have.

The food at this restaurant is tasty, but ordering over the phone can be difficult. It usually takes about 10 attempts to get through, which can be frustrating and makes us less likely to order.

I recently dined at a Chinese restaurant in Carndonagh and it was one of the best meals I've had in a while! The staff was fantastic and I would definitely recommend this place. It's a hidden gem!
