The service was excellent, but the prices for the food were quite steep and the quality didn't match expectations. We requested an extra small cup of ranch dressing, which they said would cost an additional dollar, but we didn’t see that charge on our bill after checking. The Salisbury steak was overly salty, and the meat reminded me of a McDonald's McRib sandwich. The garden salad was basic, just lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes. My kids tried the pizza, and it appeared to be frozen, though I can't say for certain. Overall, nothing in this restaurant gave off a homemade vibe.

I absolutely love this place! The food has a wonderfully homemade taste, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere has a lively, welcoming vibe. It's definitely one of the best restaurants in Carlsbad, and you get great value for your money.

I have eaten here many times over the last 15+yrs and never had a bad meal. I love the stuffed mushrooms appetizer, the No Whiner Slider, and the BLT. My dad likes going her on his birthday. He likes the prime rib off the sr. menu.
