Mammas Fish - Carlisle

Had a lovely lunch with my friend, she had the fish and chips and the fish was huge and so tasty, I had the seafood platter and chips and was a lovely selection of different seafood. The gentleman serving and taking orders and everything in between was brilliant, so helpful and kind and a real asset. Will definitely be back, nice to have home cooked style food in a nice casual unpretentious atmosphere, would definitely recommend.

Delicious vegan fish and chips made to order the first time I've had a proper fish and chips in over 10 years of being veggie. It was my first time here but the staff were clearly familiar and chatting with regulars which was nice to see. Lots of plants too! I will be visiting again.

I was Christmas shopping with my lovely husband and starving. We called into Mamma's fish shop as it smelled so good outside. I had scampi and homemade chips and my husband chose the Seafood platter (squid rings, prawn cutlets, cod loin chuncks) the modest interior does not do the standard of food justice. It was fresh and so tasty I will definitely be back. I highly recommend, you will not leave hungry. The owner who cooks comes out and checks on every plate. He really cares about the standard of his food. Lovely tasty experience

Great plaice, great food and great team. My go to place for stand out fish chips when in Carlisle. If you are in town and want some great traditional fayre from one of the best chefs on the Carlisle restaurant scene this Scotch Street location is the place to visit.
