Having lived in Texas and being accustomed to TX BBQ, takeaways:Pros:1. They make an honest attempt at recreating the spirit of TX BBQ.Cons:1. Not worth the value. Wish I had taken a picture. The plate we ordered cost $80, the appearance when picked up was $40ish. Ex. A small platter of 6 oysters $14) consisted of 3 full sized oysters, 3 oyster bits crumbs). Laughable.2. Quality. Left feeling a bit queezy. Grateful in hindsight we didnt order more!3. Quality. Got the feeling the excessive sauce obscured the lack of taste. Staff will EXPECT a tip pay up front), contributes to gimmicky feel.Just a place to try if adventurous and be on your way. Not a serious place to go for dinner from this experience. Will not return.

FAMILY friendly! Check out upstairs! Pool, pinball, and Pac-Man. EXCELLENT food!! I got the chip brisket and it was delicious.

Stopped by last weekend with a friend. Very disappointing. I gotta say was the worst barbecue I've ever had. Maybe we caught them on a bad day but my stomachs still outta whack from Saturdays lunch.Service was great, atmosphere was nice, food not so much.

I have never found myself in a position in which I’m so upset that I have to leave a review. However, I decided this is more than necessary to leave. I have eaten at smalls plenty of times and always heard bad reviews yet always defended. Up until today. I got a side of mac and cheese to-go and as I was eating the side, I found a finger nail in my food! This is beyond absurd and severely unhygienic. I do not believe that this place could be so unsafe with their way of handling food.

Front desk person acted like he was high. Very strange acting. Food was luke warm. My wife 's fish sandwich was tasteless, her smoked baked potato definitely didnt taste smoked, was hard, cold and no taste, as if it qas yesterdays potato.My Carolina pulled pork sabdwich had no taste with fatty blobs, had to douse in sauce. Hushpuppies were greasy blobs. Waffle fries undercooked.The self serve style without table service was a surprise, but we dealt with it. After all the build up about this place it was a total bust and disappointment.The owners definitely need to be more engaged.
