Hook U Up Gourmet - Cape Charles

Hook Harvey is a perfect example of an exceptional dining experience. The staff is welcoming and well-informed, and the location and ambiance are just right! We ordered an appetizer, a main course, and dessert. Although they don’t have a dedicated gluten-free menu, there were plenty of options for me to choose from. I was pleasantly surprised to find several gluten-free desserts as well! The appetizer raised our expectations from the start, the main course was a delightful symphony of flavors, and the dessert was the perfect finishing touch. I couldn’t recommend Hook Harvey for dinner more highly!

Make sure to book a reservation in advance for this hidden gem. The restaurant focuses on fresh ingredients, and we began with appetizers of French onion soup with apple and lobster bisque. For the main course, we enjoyed seared scallops and rockfish. The space accommodates about 10 tables, with 5 more available outside. The sunsets here are absolutely breathtaking.

We had the best dinner experience in Cape Charles. The food was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully prepared. The staff was friendly and professional. We did have a bit of a wait for our table, but that's understandable given the nationwide staffing shortages, and we couldn't sit outdoors due to strong winds—both situations were beyond anyone's control. They even called us ahead of time to inform us about a change in our seating. This is a fantastic spot for special occasions. Be prepared to spend a bit more than usual, but it's absolutely worth it.

Rachel is the most amazing waiting staff. Professional to say the least. The food is out of the car. Compliments to the cook. I was recommended to go and I'm so incredibly happy that I did. Thank you, Hook @Harvey's.

Friendly staff. Great food. Owners were present and gracious. I had a frozen amaretto something something for dessert that was delicious. I stabbed the other guests at my table with a fork when they tried to steal a bite. Make the drive to Cape Charles. You won’t regret it.
