Sakura Sushi - Canning Vale

Polite, timely and sushi was so fresh! Don't noodle was great too

For serious I hardly rarely make review on orderBut this sushi place when it used to be own by a Malaysian owner it was so nice and we used to dine in so much but believing now has been sold to different owner . We ordered 5 bento set today, on their DoorDash apps all bento comes with 3 pieces of sushi, that’s why we didn’t order any sushi . However, all bento set that we received have no one single piece of sushi and the salad showed on picture are totally different from what we get!Phone the shop, but they just said it’s not their mistake as the bento set doesn’t come with sushi piece and doordash photo are incorrect !!Very very disappointed

I ordered takeaway platters for a party the sushi platter (55pieces) and the AHGE finger food platter (fried finger food assortment). I was pretty happy with Sakura Sushi easy to order in advance online with a scheduled pick up time and text message confirmation, easy to pick up in store. Both takeaway platters were delicious and were nicely presented in the platters for the event.

Ordered deluxe sashimi set and salmon roll through delivery service. Received canned tuna and mayo roll instead of sashimi. Not even a similar substitution. No call or discount applied whatsoever. Salmon roll was not made fresh as described. Salmon was opaque and avocado black. Never again.

Change in owners for Sakura has sadly seen a big change in taste as well. The spring rolls looked and tasted like a packet you can buy from the supermarket freezer section and the tempura vegetables were a bland, flavourless mangled mess. The whole time we were in the restaurant we could hear the microwave going on and off, but very few sounds of any other form of cooking.
