When we were ordering she acted like it was an inconvenience for us to be there. She acted very rude and kept on repeating in a flat full tone “what do you guys want”. Took forever for us to get what we wanted. The cashier was not friendly what so ever. Ladies and gentlemen I am warning you do not order from this Tim
I was so excited to try Tim Horton's during my time in Canada! Many people equated it to Starbucks, which I found to be mostly true. The biggest difference is that they offer a wide selection of donuts! They also have a full menu where you can get burgers/sandwiches and I suppose it's fast food. It was really difficult to select what kind of donut I wanted, but I went for the apple fritter. It was warmed up for me and it was heavenly. The warm, glazed, doughy, sweet, apple infused donut paired nicely with my americano, which was actually really excellent coffee! It's not very healthy and not the most glamorous, but Tim Horton's has excellent coffee and donuts.
I was ordering a long list of items with my non English speaking parents and wanted the cashier (Asian girl with short hair) to repeat the list of items. We didn’t want to have ordered any mistakes. She said in a flat rude tone “isn’t it on the screen?”. The items on the screen were cut off and it wasn’t clear what was written. I asked again to clarify the items we ordered and she repeated the items in a rushed, flat tone, as if we rushing her (there were no other customers). She also made us feel as if we were stupid. My parents and I are fellow Asians and we were shocked to be treated rudely by the Asian cashier. I also witnessed her a few minutes later acting cheerful to the white male customer, showing a potential race bias.
The size of the food items should be embarrassing to Tim Hortons corporate. The employees do a great job and work very hard and fast. The wraps are tiny. The bowls on TV look so good but are very very small. The size of these items for the price is ridiculous.
