Thai Pagoda - Canmore

My siblings and I went to this Thai restaurant twice during our stay in Canmore. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff was very courteous and friendly. It's a small restaurant, so get there early!

This place had good reviews on Google so we stopped here. I ordered the peanut satay stir fry with tofu and my boyfriend had the spicy chicken. The food came out quickly, however the spicy chicken was a massive disappointment. At $20 the plate was literally half the size of my $15 meal. It was simply a pile of ground up chicken on a lettuce leaf, the equivalent of a meal from Taco Bell. The meal was not spicy and way too salty, we ended up leaving most of the meal untouched. Thank goodness the peanut dish was an appropriate size, we ended up sharing that with a side of rice. Our server (who I believe was the manager) did not ask why we didn't finish the other dish. We sat for awhile before finally going and asking for the bill. While paying he didn't say one word or ask how everything was. We definitely won't be returning

They let us in even though the kitchen was closing soon. The food came out pretty quickly and tasted great!

My Wife and l visited the Thai Pagoda because it was close to our hotel. We have toured Thailand and went to see if the food was just as good. The missus had the Chicken Panang curry stir fry and l had the Chicken stir fry/peanut sauce, both with the coconut rice. It was a disapointing meal mainly because the lack of sauce and chicken in both meals. They were close to being a vegetarian dishes. The guy on the next table had the Fried Rice and that looked a far better meal.

Food was good, but pricey(overpriced for the small portions you get!). We ordered the appetizer sampler($18) an they forgot to put in the stuffed chicken wings. Green curry was good.
