Roberts Lake Resort - Campbell River

This family run restaurant never fails to please. They are well known for the baked treats, especially the cinnamon buns. I recently went there for lunch where they have an all day breakfast. The omelette was excellent and was accompanied with homemade bread and jam. Yum.

Terrible management, cabins are infested with mice! Mice poop found in all linens and bedding! On all the countertops and in the kitchen. When informed the staff they blamed it on us! Will never go back!

We have stayed here in our RV a couple of times & really enjoyed it. Great people, decent beach, good eats @ the restaurant. This past weekend we took our RV up there. Also family rented two cabins. Cabins were filthy, mouse traps all over. 9 mice caught in one cabin on first night. There was mouse poop in all areas. On the dishes, in cutlery drawer, in all the beds, in all the towels. Cleaned it once and was just as bad 8 hrs later. One family left after one night. The owner stated it was their fault for leaving door open. "And this is the way it is in a rustic cabin" . The other families left this morning, owner was pleased to take our money and offered a feeble apology. We all would have left after one night but after traveling such a long way reluctantly stayed. Will never stay there again & will contact Public Health tomorrow to have them follow up on my pending complaint.

The homemade burger patties and buns were really excellent. The lone staff member served us quickly and was friendly and polite. I'd rate my burger a 9.5 out of 10. I've had very few burgers I've enjoyed more in my life. I'd say this particular burger ranked number 6 on my all time favourites, and I'm definitely going back to try another burger because I think it might rank higher. Also the sticky buns looked amazing, but by the time I'd finished my lunch they had sold out. Next time I'll get my sticky bun first....The lake view is beautiful. The first nations carvings and masks make for very nice decor, it's almost like being at a small museum display. I do think maybe some small write ups on the art and carvings would have been interesting.

Out for a drive from Campbell river we stopped in not know if the place was open this time of year.. The woman that runs the place had cinnamon buns a home made bread for sale. We had home made hamburger and grilled cheese..would recommend this for any one t stop in and have a look..
