Coal River Farm - CAMBRIDGE GARDENS

Coal River Farm is a pleasant country spot to visit with nice views where one can sample their delicious cheeses and fine chocolates. Visiting their goats and pigs is also an option. To our tastes, the menu did not deliver the quality of food that it implied. Our pork belly was undercooked, the gnocchi nice but smothered in oil, and the lamb shoulder had insufficient seasoning and was oddly tasteless. Desserts too were either too wet or too dry with little textural variation. Flavours were OK but overall would prefer other local eateries.

Came here with my boyfriend and my mum to help warm us up on a cold winter's day ... a perfect stop for a warm cuppa! Coffee for them, hot white chocolate for me (yum!), all served with a side of their homemade chocolates. Happy bonus!It was lunch time on a weekday, so many of the tables were already taken or reserved ... but we nabbed a spot at the loooooong front window - and oh, what a view!!! Worth the price for the drinks, that's for sure.Good menu, though we didn't eat here. Lots of homemade chocolates and jams and jellies also - though I didn't like that the jams etc weren't labeled (only the shelves appeared to have labels) - might get a bit confusing if you had several of their products in your kitchen cupboards.That being said, a truly gorgeous property and we'd love to one day return for a proper meal.

An attraction for all ages! My partner and I had a wonderful (and affordable!) filling breakfast! There is a good variety of menu options. There are chocolates, cheeses and other crafts available for purchase. They have a special deal on the cheese, 3 for $30! You can go and feed the goats! See the pigs and chooks. You can also do fruit picking, depending on the season! An authentic farm experience! We only stopped here because we drove by and I was hungry! Lucky us to stop in on such an amazing place!

Such a great place with a little bit of everything!! The animals, cheese, wine, coffee, lunch and the amazing view. We loved it all and ended up taking some cheese and wine home with us!

We were looking forward to our visit to Coal River Farm for lunch. However, after placing our orders we were subsequently advised that the two pork dishes that we had ordered were unavailable. Our second choice - the pan seared gnocchi with blue cheese and beetroot - was disappointing especially for the price.
