Ended up getting the ramen and some yakitori along with some milk bread. The ramen was tasty and filling but the noodles lacked the bite that a good bowl of ramen has. The broth seems to be a shoyu based broth which is lighter than traditional pork based broth. More ramen options in the future would be a welcome addition. The yakitori was tasty, especially the grilled chicken thighs and the dipping sauce that it comes with. Ask for the in-house made hot sauce, you won't regret it. The milk bread was also great with the togarashi bone marrow butter. I'd recommend putting some of that butter in the ramen broth and dipping the bread in the last bit of broth. Not to mention they are extremely welcoming to celiacs. My wife had the karaage burger made gluten free and she was more than pleased. Overall we had a pleasant experience and the service was A+, I will definitely be coming back.
Amazing and unique restaurant. Food, environment and service was outstanding. Great meal sharing items. Totally returning.
Everything we tried was fantastic (I especially love the milk bread, gyoza, and soft shell crab) and the drinks are creative and delicious.
Halloumi, Clams and Kimchi, Gorilla rice. Surpassed my expectations. Thats what a food experience should be. I will be back.
One of my favorite restaurants in Calgary. Been here three or four times (in less than 3 months) since I finally made it here! Phenomenal food, service, ambiance! The Japanese Fusion brings a unique and delicious option to Calgary! I have tried both Ramen, Fried Chicken, Sashimi Donburi, every Skewer, Gyoza, Kimchi, Cucumber Salad, and for Pasta La Feasta Week the Freaky Styley Dan Dan Noodles. Everything is wonderful and the Gorilla Fried Chicken is one of the best dishes I've ever had! Must Try in Calgary/Alberta!!!
