Contribuiți la feedbackA very warm welcome that will be extended to us with the nursing staff. The atmosphere and the ambience are warm and friendly. The elections are diverse and imaginative. Every course and ingredients have been explained to us. The food was creatively served and the portions were very good. Service was...efficient. Very recommended. Will definitely go back and take friends.
Booked to go with friends for my husband's birthday contract. Once we came in, we were received, and the friendly staff showed us on our table. The menu is brought to you on a chalkboard, and our server explains everything... in English and French. Very interesting menu, and my four grois for beginners was delicious, main courses were varied and included bratox cheeks. The menu of 3 courses is fixed price of €30, and is excellent value for money. This place was completely renovated, and away are the fireplace and the old fashion furniture. It is now less formal and relaxed. Will be back when we visit our house in the area again
After a busy week of many changes we decided we wanted to go where we know for sure the food, service and atmosphere are beautifully consistent so we booked a table for us and our friends at the Rebenty. We were not disappointed but that...was not a surprise as this venue and the people are invariably a delight for us. We were warmly welcomed by Jesus, Didier and the team and although the restaurant was very busy the service was exemplary. Within minutes we had our aperitif, our table and were perusing the menu. We had a fantastic evening of good food and great ambience underpinned by entertainment from our lovely waiter. I chose the deconstructed French onion soup which I love as I am provided with all the necessary ingredients of this great dish but they are served separately so I can chose how much of each to take......a brilliant idea and very pleasing to the eye as well as the palate. My next dish was the cassoulet which was rich and tasty but not for the faint hearted as it is very filling. One of our guests is vegan and although there wasn’t a specific vegan dish on the menu our waiter spoke to the chef and they came up with what I can only describe as a work of art .....she was delighted. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food which was served at an excellent pace in a lovely setting by delightful people....what more can you ask for from a restaurant. Four people had canapés, three courses, aperitif, the equivalent of two bottles of wine and coffees with chocolates all for less than 150€ !.....excellent value. Brilliant job guys....thank you for a wonderful evening.
So my partner decided that we should try this place as we have heard all sorts of good and bad things about it in the past and it’s one of the only restaurants in our area we have not visited and it seemed like a...good place to celebrate my birthday before meeting our friends in town afterwards. Our table was booked for 7.30 and we arrived about two mins before. We waited a few minutes to be seated and then shortly afterwards we were presented with an horsd’oeuvres which was a very small class container with a creamy cheese and beetroot dip accompanied by six extremely small morsels if bread (it looked desperate). All that aside, it tastes very nice. We then sat and waited, thinking a menu may appear shortly. And we waited, and waited and waited and waited until eventually (after 20 mins) I managed to grab the waiters attention and asked if there was a menu. He replied there was a board which he would present to us in two minutes. So we waited for the board. Meanwhile two guys and a girl came in and were seated on the table behind us. The menu board was then presented to all of us (the other table too). After another ten minutes the waiter returned and walked past our table and took the order from the table behind us, who by now had only been in the restaurant for about 15 mins in total. He then took their order to the kitchen this naffed me off as I felt we had already waited a ridiculous amount of time and now others were being served before us. Eventually he returned to us and took our order this was 40 mins after we had arrived, very poor service. Our food then arrived swiftly. The food wasn’t unpleasant, but by now I was so fed up that I just wanted to eat and leave as I felt there was no service here at all. I didn’t feel the food was anything special and overall it was a little disappointing. It all sounded good on the board and when presented to us, but just lacked imagination when presented. I had two small slices of foie gras with a bit of salad and two pieces of bread for my starter followed by what looked like three small pieces of Wiener schnitzel on a salad (the meat was lamb however). No bread basket offered. My dessert was a very quickly knocked up part frozen panda cotta with raspberry coulis and squirty cream on top. We ate and decided to pay our bill. The waiter asked was everything okay and I replied that I was not happy with how king it took before our order was taken. He pointed out he was the only person serving (there was a total of 17 people in the restaurant). I then pointed out that it did not please me that he served the table behind me before us and his response........ “That table had the daughter of the chef on it”. I thought I had misheard so I asked again for the reason and he repeated that he had served that table before us because the young lady was the chef’s daughter!!! Do I need to say anymore? So overall....... a comfortable looking setting, rather cold in the restaurant (16C), passable food just not terribly exciting and the worst service I have had in any restaurant in this area. The forty minute wait to take an order followed by the reasons is unacceptable. I don’t think we will be going back there and I don’t think their local competition in Axat has anything to fear!!
We visit the Le Rebenty whenever we can love the food supply and support of the staff. This was the first restaurant we visited when we were engaged, so the memories we have and the food will always be with us. We're... like family believed and that means a lot to us. Dicier always greets us both and we love the staff as they care. X
