I asked if we could use the outside space on the back that was considered shady, but still we had a dog so that we would accept it. another curt “No” was saved. with an oasis has no time for this posture. no suggestion of a beautiful small table at the front, all stacked and certainly not inviting, a bit of a hint at the ambiente of this gifted restaurant. I hear you say you misunderstood. I am fluent in French, however, so there was no ambiguousness or franglais. sad I'm not desperate enough that a fish sauce will re-export the gauntlet, even without the dog.
Ideal for lunch or dinner or simply sitting in the sun, enjoy a glass of wine. they make an excellent fish chips at night also on Friday.
Great local restaurant for fish and chips on Friday night! reservation recommended! many events take place here in the course of the year!
We were recommended to visit by the owner of our gite. We went on fish and chip night and it was very good food. You have to book well in advance though and the atmosphere was fairly charmless.
We were told that booking only a few hours in advance was unreasonable; when we arrived, the proprietor said that all we could therefore have was cheese, and he more or less menaced us from the premises. Okay, it's a small village, but it's not a small restaurant. One would have thought they'd welcome a not exceedingly large party of eight with open arms, and be able to cater. We felt chastised for treating the place like a restaurant. Which, ostensibly, it is. Fortunately, we found another place a short distance away which had no problem accommodating us even though we were a walk-up, albeit after a short pleasant wait on the shores of "l'Etang" (qv). If you want to be treated like an outrageous philistine, however, head to this place.
