Contribuiți la feedbackWere there for an early weekend dinner. Chinese Broccoli side had no balance of flavour and was way too salty. Calamari was $16 for about a cup worth of calamari on the plate and nothing else not even a token salad had nice flavour although a little oily. Spring rolls were soggy, squelchy things in a pool of oil on the plate. Banana fritter desert was oily seemed to be the theme of the night however the coconut ice cream was a hit. Crispy skin chopped chicken and orange blossom brulee were both wonderful. Staff were accommodating with tricky drink orders and fidgety children but service was slow and dessert was forgotten about until reminded then it arrived promptly. Might give them a try for breakfast but won't return for dinner. Although I will say have had coffee here a few times and has always been good.
Great crispy duck salad, sooo delicious. Fish and chips lovely and crispy if a little oily. Lovely light and bright venue. Bathrooms a bit messy
The newly renovated Feather’s Pavillon has undergone a facelift to rival Kim Kardashian and a name change that would make Prince wish he’d gotten in first. Formally The Place Next Door, Feather’s Pavilion offers an open eating arrangement of white wash tiles, iron light bulbs and smooth timber furnishings with an open view of the top of Glynburn Road.
Feather 's Pavilion (FP) is a venue I 'm regularly driving by, so when I noticed it 's modern revamp I (Amanda) couldn 't wait to give it a try. FP takes reservations which is convenient especially when you a planning a catch-up and want to ensure you don 't miss out on a table. We arrived at 11am on a Sunday and were seated at our reserved table in the 'sunroom '. This is a floor to ceiling glass room at the front with only ceiling fans to keep us cool on this 39 degree day! Inside where we ordered at the counter was lovely and cool from the air conditioning but to our disappointment all the tables were full.
The burger was really disappointing. Salad quite average and not many inventive non fried options on the menu. Very average pub food. So many better options in the eastern suburbs. I'd hoped for something nice after the revamp. There's really no excuse for poor quality food in this day and age. Not good value either
