Olivo Café is located in a business park right by the path of Burnaby Fraser Foreshore Park. We found a signboard on the trail and that’s when we decided to veer off the path and check out this cafe. Cafe Olivo has a good brunch menu and was open on Sunday morning whereas the other businesses in the area weren’t open. Lots of Mexican food options including tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and of course the usual brunch options. There is also a large menu for beverages and espresso, caffeine free, and tea. We got the Spanish latte, the London fog, and churros. The drinks were great, hot and very soothing on a chilly day. The churros were a bit overcooked so it was harder than usual, but it did come with dulce de leche. There is a small section for locally handcrafted artwork and cards you can check out. There are two picnic tables outside to enjoy your food at, but also the inside is spacious with lots of tables available to sit at for patrons. Food was passable. Portion was tiny, maybe it's what i ordered. Probably should have had the burrito. Was here at noon and the place was dead. Atmosphere is bright and airy. Service is good, although I think the person at the the front is trying to juggle too many things at once. She's making coffee, taking orders, serving, bussing, and she's sometimes helping in the kitchen. Get the girl some rollerblades and an all paid vacation asap Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
