Contribuiți la feedbackTuesday night, my friends and I had a quick dinner at DaeJi Cutlet House. It was our first time having food at this place. We had a great experience in this restaurant.<br/ <br/ DaeJi Cutlet House is a Korean Restaurant based in Vancouver, BC. It’s located on Kingsway Burnaby, which is right across the street from Metrotown. It offers authentic Korean best cutlets and hamburger steaks serve to all their customers.<br/ <br/ We arrived the restaurant around 6:30 pm on the weekday, so the restaurant was not very busy. We quickly found the table and began to look at the menu. Since one of my friends is Korean, it was very easy to order the meal. After discussed with each other, we decided to order the food to share. We had the most famous in this restaurant Kimchi fried rice, sweet corn cheese, deep-fried chicken to share.<br/ <br/ Our food came out the kitchen fast. The kimchi fried rice came with a big plate of salad, which is a very great deal. The taste of the kimchi fried rice was great. I did not find any pork in the dish. It was actually Kimchi and Rice. But, the flavors were a little bit spicy and intense. I love it. The sweet corn cheese was very well cooked and fresh. It was my first time having this dish. Very special experience with it. In the end, the deep-fried chicken came out the kitchen. It was in very large portion too. I like the potatoes slices combinations with chicken. I donot very like the flavors (sweet and sour) of the chicken. It seems like they used their own sauces to mix them. Comparing the chicken dish to BBONG Korean Restaurant in Lougheed Town Center. I love BBONG Korean Restaurant Chicken more.<br/ <br/ In summary, we spent $60 for the meal. We had fun to try some new restaurant. good experience.
Though known for their cutlets, the star of the night for me was the boneless deep fried chicken. Crispy, somewhat juicy, and a blast of sweet and sour soya sauce (depending on what you choose). I liked how it came with fried potato as it gave my tastebuds a 'break ' and made it eating fried chicken bite after bite 'less boring. ' We got the half-half order of sweet and sour and soya sauce flavour. *Extra $1 for half-half orders*<br <br Affordable, simple, home-style feels for the food. Very casual place.
Dae Ji is a Korean cutlet house that serves up delicious Korean comfort food including fried cutlets, hamburg steaks, fried chicken, fried rice, and pork hocks. They have 6 locations in the Lower Mainland with the South Burnaby location being one of the newest ones.
One day to pay day and I was looking for something quick and easy for dinner. I have passed by a few of its other locations in and around Vancouver, five in total. Each with its trademark orange accents and mascot: a chubby orange piggy with more stout than face. Inside, the cafe is orange and white, with each table ready for seating, set with their double sided menus. The menu is divided between cutlets, specialty cutlets, hamburger steak, rice, pork hocs, chicken, and sides. It is a visual list to guide you. I tend to steer away from pork as if it is slightly overcooked its dryness reminds me of chewing saw dust, and if it is undercooked it isn’t any better. So I was looking to see their take on the protein and hopefully enjoy some now. However, as a visual diner, each photographed option didn’t look like much, but at least they tasted a lot better.
Dae-Ji Cutlet House is a Korean fusion chain that opened up in Burnaby in the former Cattle Cafe location. Interestingly, Cattle Cafe moved out of their former location only to relocate next door. I suppose the curved layout of the interior is a bit challenging because of the seating restriction. After having some really great cutlets at Tonkatsu Ginza Bairin in Hawaii, I was interested to see how Dae-Ji compared.
