Wicked Sushi Grill - Buford

Love this place! Creative rolls, top level sushi! Good for takeout or dine in. Favorite rolls are two face and black widow.

The sushi at this restaurant was satisfactory - everything tasted good and we managed to finish four rolls between four of us. We plan on returning to try other rolls, as it is difficult to assess the quality after just one visit and one order. The service was adequate, although the server was not overly talkative. However, there were two occasions where we had to wait longer than usual for her to come back. On one of those occasions, we noticed a roll sitting in the window until it had cooled down. The atmosphere was very laid-back and the dining space was cozy but not overly fancy. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and there were no major complaints.

Wicked Sushi never disappoints! We have been going for a few years, all the sushi rolls are delicious and fresh. We have never had a bad experience. The waiters are very attentive and make sure that all of your needs are met. While the restaurant is not large, it is just right in size as it provides a more relaxed and intimate setting.

The food is really good, the creative sushi are outstanding and very filling. The portions are huge , great viriety we like the grilled salmon and a couple of appetizers.

Food: I read the other reviews and was looking forward to excellent sushi in an assuming, low key strip mall center (The shoppes of Buford next to Mall of Georgia). I will be honest and say other tables' sushi looked amazing. Yet I think I made bad selections. I did the lunch special rolls with soup and salad. I got a regular shrimp tempura roll and a specialty golden spicy tuna roll. The rolls came out quickly. Both were heavily shrouded with rice. The shrimp roll had a mix in that was heavily sugared. The spicy tuna tasted bitter and was bland (no spice). Again I am gonna think it was my selection but I did not eat it. Small salad (basically lettuce/cabbage/carrots with ginger dressing). Miso soup. My husband got shrimp teriyaki with white rice off the dinner menu. It was good. You will have to ask for yum yum sauce. Service: our wait was about 15 minutes for a table. We came at what I would consider the end of a lunch rush (1:30PM). Our server wasn't Uber friendly or anything, just took the order. Once food arrived, she was scarce but again the restaurant was busy. I had to ask a different server for wasabi and ginger with my sushi although my initial server said it came with it. Ambience: basic, small business setting. One TV with a holiday screensaver and some K POP music playing. Dim but not dark. Overall I don't live in this state so I likely won't be able to try the food again, but as stated earlier many others gave raving reviews.
