Panera Bread - Buffalo Grove

Drive thru is never open when I come in the afternoon. Food quality is good though. App ordering is nice.

The sandwiches were good, but unfortunately, the lettuce in mine was mostly spoiled (as seen in the pictures). I am shocked that the person making the sandwiches did not notice the rotten lettuce, or even worse, saw it and still included it. I now understand why this restaurant has a low rating. I do not plan on returning as I am hesitant to send food back out of fear of retaliation, so I simply removed the lettuce and ate the sandwich. I think I will opt for Burger King instead, as I have never encountered rotten lettuce in their sandwiches.

The restaurant was extremely dirty, with dishes and trash cans overflowing. The tables and carpets were filthy. Definitely not up to Panera's usual standards.

So many problems with this Panera- 1) the drive thru is a parking lot (and is closed half the time). Instead of having people with massive orders go around to the front and get their order brought to their car, they have them sit by the window waiting. I 've been late to work a couple of times because I got stuck in the drive thru line for 15+ minutes. Once had the man behind me get out of his car and go talk to the employees because it was taking so long for the rest of us to get a cup on coffee. Especially bad Tuesdays when people are picking up their discounted baker 's dozen in the drive thru. I have started avoiding the drive thru altogether. 2) the manager is RUDE. Had an issue with my order not being ready and got an exasperated you can see we 're busy so we just don 't have time or something of the sort. Didn 't provide any follow up and some minutes later threw my order on the pick up counter with here . The only reason I keep coming to this location is because it 's on the way and I pop INSIDE (Not the drive thru) and use the kiosk to get my own cup of coffee. It 's great when I serve myself!

This Panera was good when it opened and now it is another one with poor execution on the food and my rapid pick up took 15 minutes. Ordered an bacon egg and cheese on a bagel with one half piece of bacon, not even a whole piece lol.
