Speisewirtschaft zum Blauen Engel

It is not easy to find but it is definitively worth the effort. Very cosy place in the middle of nowhere. At first glance it looks like a farm (indeed the cows are nearby) and when passing the door you really feel in a "Stube". The special aspect is the extreme high importance to use local product. When I say local I don't mean Swiss but from the nearby village. So you eat the meat from a cow growing next to the place eating the very same grass you could see when arriving. You eat vegetable growing in the next garden and drink the wine from nearby vineyard. The cook is Swiss from the french part and you can easily get the chance to exchange a few words with him. Service is nice, atmosphere exceptional food simple but excellent. I really enjoy sophisticated cuisine but here you will find an equivalently enjoyable simple food which is just prepare close to perfection. Stop to read and just go to try!

Simple restaurant, excellent food! Nothing is frozen but the ice cream, all vegetables and meat are fresh and you can really taste the difference! Amazing food and people are so friendly, the owner will sit and chat with you a bit, down to earth and a genuine guy. We are already wondering when we can go next

Wir hatten ein schönes Abendessen in diesem Restaurant. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und versucht, alle Kundenwünsche zu erfüllen. Das Essen war sehr gut. Ich würde es auf jeden Fall empfehlen, wenn Sie in der Nachbarschaft sind!

Bei Kiki darf man gerne sein, weil Bier und Wein sind immer fein. Per Telefon den Tisch reserviert, dann ist das Vergnügen garantiert. Man wird bei Ankunft flott begrüsst; gefragt was uns den Tag versüsst? Man fühlt sich einfach nur sauwohl und darf sich freuen „ohne Kohl“ dass sowohl Apero als auch die Karten bereits am Tisch sind wir müssen nicht warten. Die Bestellung easy vom Salat bis zum Ofen Schinken, die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam ganz ohne zu winken. Geschmacklich war’s sowieso einwandfrei, darum kommen wir wieder sehr gerne vorbei. Allerdings die Creme Brülee dürfte jedoch etwas karamelliger sein sonst fällt sie zu stark ab; im Vergleich mit dem Wein. Man darf schon sagen, ohne zu übertreiben man möchte beim Kiki viel länger bleiben. Empfehlenswert.

Ein Lokal wie aus der Zeit gefallen mit einem freundlichen Wirt, der perfekt in das gotthelfmässige Ambiente passt. Das Essen ist gut, die Preise moderat, der Federweisse und das Bier süffig und die Stimmung einfach gut. Der Schoggikuchen zum Dessert war fast noch warm und lecker und schmeckte wie von Glunggepuurs Grossmüeti selbstgemacht. Schön, dass es solche Lokale mit solchen Idealisten-Wirten in der Schweiz noch gibt!
