Veggie Del Sol - Brownsville

The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly. The place is also extremely clean. On Tuesdays, they offer $2 tacos, which is a great deal. Service was for dine-in during lunch, and the price per person is around $10 to $20. I highly recommend the Jackfruit Tacos!

The atmosphere and decor were fantastic. Our waitress was polite, though a bit slow since we were the only customers at that time. I felt the quality of the food and the combination of toppings could have been improved. I ordered the Korean BBQ cauliflower wings and jackfruit tacos with rice and beans. The wings were a bit too drenched in sauce, and the ranch dressing was overly salty. The jackfruit tacos were underwhelming, lacking in seasoning and a good selection of toppings. We also tried a smoothie, but it didn't taste great due to the fruit combinations. I really wanted to love this place, but I think there's room for improvement.

This is hands-down one of my favorite restaurants in Brownsville, and is surely amongst the top options for vegan cuisine in the whole RGV. Even if you aren't vegan/vegetarian, the cozily classy ambience and atmosphere is sure to facilitate a fine dining experience either way. I always eat here whenever I'm visiting downtown Brownsville.
