Picante Picante - BRONX

I wish I had taken some photos because the food smelled so delicious that my husband and I couldn't resist diving right in. I ordered the hard shell shrimp taco with all the toppings (including the good Mexican cheese), along with an El Pastor hard shell taco, rice, and pinto beans. Both tacos were bursting with flavor—the pork was tender, and the shrimp was perfectly seasoned. The pork tamale had a delightful filling with a nice spicy kick, although the corn was a bit drier than I prefer. My husband absolutely loves the beef steak burrito. He claims it has the perfect balance of meat, rice, and beans, and it's generously covered in cheese. He usually orders two at a time because he enjoys it so much that he knows he’ll want it again the next day!

The food here is excellent! I really enjoy discovering local gems. I just tried breakfast for the first time after previously ordering dinner, and it did not disappoint. I had the Mexican scramble while my partner chose the garden omelette. It was so delicious that I felt compelled to leave a review. Usually, when you order through DoorDash, you end up spending a lot of money for food that's just mediocre, but that wasn't the case here!

The food here is fantastic—always perfectly cooked, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Takeout is convenient, and I really enjoy coming here with my family. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem to anyone!

Went twice and had a perfect experience both times. I only had fish and shrimp tacos so I can’t really speak on the entrees BUT everything I had was yummy and tasted authentic. Watched my server make our guacamole to order and that was delicious as well. I would also recommend the passion fruit or hibiscus juice. I wish I remembered the name of the young man that served us both times, he’s great!!

The tamales were enormous and absolutely delicious! The rice with black beans was a classic dish. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are very reasonable!
