Scenery is great and the sushi is really good. My favorite is cooked salmon sushi, its absolutely delicious! Only thing is, when I ordered I wasn't asked if I wanted to stay or go (I wanted to sit and enjoy my sushi). For some reason my sushi had a lot of rice. But besides, if you enjoy eating sushi. I recommend that you come here!
From the outside, this restaurant might seem a bit inconspicuous, but once you step inside, you'll be pleasantly surprised by both the food and the ambiance. There are many little details that contribute to a genuine sense of authenticity. The walls are decorated with Japanese characters painted directly on them—not just printed on paper and taped up. Although I can’t decipher them, they add an exotic air and create a truly immersive experience. The decor includes some Japanese-themed knickknacks, which strike the perfect balance—not too cheesy, just enough to enhance the overall vibe. Now, regarding the food: the soups and salads were outstanding, but naturally, you’re curious about the sushi. It was excellent! Everything tasted incredibly fresh, the rice had the perfect texture, and the colors were vibrant. This place is definitely worth a visit for good sushi in a relaxed atmosphere!
I visited this restaurant for the first time with my family, and I’ve been on the lookout for a good sushi place ever since I moved to the Bronx. I was really impressed by the freshness of the fish here! We all ordered the sushi roll combo, which came with either miso soup or salad, and the portion sizes were generous enough to leave us feeling quite full. Additionally, they offered a special appetizer: delicious ribs that had been marinated overnight. The ribs were both tender and flavorful. For dessert, we tried the fried banana, which was fantastic! One important detail to note is that they only accept cash, so be prepared for that—there’s an ATM inside the restaurant, but nobody likes paying extra fees. The waitstaff was attentive and provided great recommendations from the menu. I definitely plan on dining here again or ordering takeout in the future!
Food, service, and prices are the best you can find when it comes to Sushi restaurants, the best one in the Bronx, I say in the Top 10 in the City. I try to get there at least once a month. Full Update February 18 2020: Ok First things first, I do not work for or have any working relationship with this restaurant or its workers. Now that being said, I love food and I am the kind of person that tries restaurants once and if I like what I get in the form of service and food Quality/Quantity will keep coming back for more. I no longer can have raw fish/seafood so I cannot attest to their variety of raw plates but the ones that I have eaten are above par. Before I found this place I did a google search of the top sushi places around my area, and this little place was number 3 in The Bronx and on the top 25 places in the whole city....THAT IS IN THE TOP 25 PLACES IN THE BRONX, QUEENS, MANHATTAN AND BROOKLYN. I love their service regardless if you are eating in or taking out, they are always courteous, friendly and fast. the restaurant has 2 sections to eat in the one in front has tables and chairs and tables and benches, the back part of the restaurant is more Japanese traditional with the small tables that are very close to the floor and where you have to kneel/sit on floor. The prices of the food are very reasonable, the quality of the food is exceptional, and the presentation of the plates is beautiful. I have been coming to this little restaurant now for almost 4 years, I try to get my food at least once a month, and even do is hard since I do not have a car and have to take a cab round trip (30 bucks) I need to eat from here. Now think about that, I am willing to spend 30 bucks to take a cab to eat here when I could just take a quick train hop to go somewhere else closer... That should tell you everything you should know about this place.. my favorite plates are: House special fried rice( I order with soy sauce, but it comes with out) Dragon Roll, California Roll, Zombie Roll, Spicy Kani Roll. and the Chicken and the Beef Teriyaki Bento Plates. among every other I have eaten there.
