Absolutely excellent meal with amazing variety of taste and use of ingredients. the place and the inner is wonderful, especially the small number of covers and the subsequent love to the detail from the team of pensons. shout in the in-house sommelier, who is a master of his craft is more visible for his role in the creation of the perfect compliment to the excellent food. one of the best meals I've ever eaten. only book.

Absolutely beautiful place and fantastic food. Great ambience, unpretentious, service was impeccable. It was a great find for a birthday of a loved one. Would definitely recommend and visit again .. but prefer to keep it a secret!! Memorable!! No superlatives are enough!

Loved it. Loved the food, loved the ethos behind the whole experience. The rooms we stayed in were gorgeous. We were looked after by very a attentive team who were not in your face but went about delivering a very thought out experience. Myself and my wife will be going back.

Wonderful meal, lovely building, attentive but not intrusive service, what more could you want! We started with a drink sitting in the courtyard enjoying the sunshine, then had a relaxed meal and afterwards stayed in two lovely rooms. We finished off our stay with an excellent breakfast. Do take some time to walk round the kitchen garden and to look at the local crafts in the small shop. Overall a fantastic experience!

Nice welcome on arrival, lovely restaurant, mushroom starter was outstanding, monkfish main was equally as good, however sadly the venison did not live up to expectation, it was very tough and difficult to chew, manager apologetic and the dish was replaced with monkfish. Quite a wait resulting in having to eat alone. Desert was nice but not to my taste. Overall the experience was good ,will probably go back.
