Metro Star Coffee Shop - Broad Channel

UPDATE: They closed the register and shut down the grill over 11 minutes early today, and wouldn’t sell or make anything. Rather disappointed, as otherwise I really like this place. Excellent food and service, this is my second time eating here. On my first visit I ordered the California omelet, which was fresh and and very well prepared. This visit I ordered the sausage egg and cheese sandwich, which had a proper sausage patty and eggs cooked just right. One minor gripe, while dining in they do not provide free refills on regular coffee.

CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH! Great breakfast/brunch food at unbeatable prices. Extremely friendly staff. I tried the Metro Star panini and was pleasantly surprised (pictured below). I would say that it’s not quite a coffee shop (there are limited coffee options and they are good, but not great), but an absolute must visit brunch place in Queens!

Staff was very nice ,I call before arriving and the food is ready and is fresh every day .Ice coffee is the best .

Well the food is good the prices are ridiculous.. I understand it’s a small family business and I’m all for supporting however overcharging by 3 to 4 dollars per item is a bit much. If you don’t speak Spanish they really treat you like an outsider as if you were beneath them. The female cashier is extremely rude and always gives me attitude and a stink face whenever I do enter there. It sucks because they’re fresh juices are actually really good it’s just the attitude and some of the prices that need to be adjusted..

Hands down a great experience here! The staff here will seriously take care of all your food needs! Food is great and the customer service is fantastic! Please keep up the great work !!!
