City Winery New York - Broad Channel

Great venue for live music. The acoustics in that space are heavenly. Great wine selection/pairings. Sad I was not able to take a bottle home. Order the hummus...it is a winner.

City Winery, part of a chain with multiple branches across the city, offers different experiences. This particular location features live music and wine tastings but also regular dining. Opting for a normal dining experience on our first visit, we had made reservation on Resy. We were met with free wine tasting from the menu and a bottle of water which was a super nice detail, doesn't happen often. The menu includes a variety of vegetable, meat, and seafood dishes with recommended wine pairings. The snacks we ordered Kitchen Sink Potato and Wild Mushroom Goat Cheese Risotto Balls were somewhat ordinary, bit oily. Potatoes were nicely cooked, crunchy on top, with a nice souse, whereas in the risotto balls i could not feel any goat cheese whatsoever. The main dishes Duck Tacos and Charred Octopus were a mixed experience. The duck tacos had a hint of unpleasant oil smell, though my partner wasn't bothered. On the other hand, the octopus was so great in every detail, from sauce and salad to the quality of seafood. Dishes were served quickly despite the business of the place. Wine was served in very big portions (compared to European standards), was very tasty. The atmosphere was delightful, with a helpful and timely waiter, and despite the place being busy, we were able to talk with no issues. We didn't notice strict dress code having observed a very diverse clientele.

Wasn't impressed by the food but the concert, atmosphere, and wine were all AMAZING!!

Tables are a little cramped, but setup and concert were great. Wine and food were good, particularly considering that it was a concert venue setup

I recently dined at City Winery, New York, located at Pier 57, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The establishment boasts an impressive staff, with a special mention to my server, Zay, whose service was nothing short of magnificent—attentive and genuinely caring. The bartending prowess at City Winery is truly noteworthy, and Melanie, in particular, demonstrated phenomenal skills. Her efficiency surpassed even the main bartender, delivering prompt and impeccable service. Additionally, the managerial excellence exhibited by Christian was nothing short of magnificent; his hospitality merits all the praise in the world. The overall experience at City Winery was so memorable that every future visit to Chelsea, New York, will undoubtedly include a stop at this establishment. As a result of the outstanding service and ambiance, I consider myself a repeat customer for life. I wholeheartedly recommend City Winery to both visitors and locals in New York City, as the experience is not only memorable but also complemented by exquisite food and perfect drinks.
