Very disappointing experience. it took 10 minutes to take a super-priced coffee without getting apologies or recognition from the personal. there is obviously no attempt to keep the repeated business of natives, which as well as the gallery cafe and library cafe are served by first-class employees.
Best value and prices in the art center. we started our day at goma, but could not afford to feed our family of 5 there, so we had a look at the library café. they were also above our budget. fear that we would have to take the children to maccas on the way to home, we made a last diitch effort to get food before we went to the car. collector’s caffe had a 15-minute wait, but it was worth it. we bought 3 of their gourmet rolls (big enough to share), a large chips and bottle water for the children we were told that on special with a coffee purchase, so we had coffee. it costs under $50 to feed 5. coffee was good, but the sandwiches were the best. they were fresh and came...read more
Extremely overpriced for such poor quality. I ordered a salmon sandwich from the display fridge and it took 15 minutes for them to put it on a plate. When I finally got my order, there was barely anything on the bread and the salmon smelt off and all I could taste was the overpowering saltiness. I also had a small chips which were stale and under-salted. This 'meal ' cost me just under $20. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Diana. Am listing this as a Favourite due to the coffee I had on the specific day I went there. Was blown away by it can still taste it now! Was Lavaza blend, which I don 't normally go for in a big way, but this was made exceptionally well . Was also hot because I always order my coffee that way, which is a good thing to do these days as most baristas do around the 60 degree mark. Was a lady barista the flavour was rich full bodied the texture creamy smooth. The strength was all there, so much so had to check to see if there was a double shot, but no there was only a single-suprise! Oh the price for a large size cup? $3.5-bargain!
