Bincho - Brisbane

I came here a little later in the evening, when it was a bar as opposed to a restaurant, and my first impression was that it was a really nice atmosphere. Actually, lets back up a bit - my first impression was 'when is that bartender going to stop talking to his mates and come over here and serve me'. Five minutes later somebody else thought it might be a good idea to serve me (probably because it became clear that I wasn't going away), and I got my beer and sat down. The other thing about this place is that the toilets are confusing - and I mean really, really confusing. In fact I almost walked into the wrong ones. Maybe it was late at night, but I really didn't understand the symbols. Still, it would be a nice place if it wasn't for the slow service.

Food was quite oily but what we did eat was tasty. I probably wouldn't go again if it were my choice however if part of a group I would pick wiser next time. Not a huge menu but sufficient. Staff were great and I have no complaints there. Lychee cocktail was to die for!

Went for dinner and drinks on the 18/4/2015 with two friends. The menu is lots of small bites which was great so we got a number of things to share. I would recommend the lotus chips and the pork belly skewers. The food is well priced for the quality and the fact there are so many small bites you can order as little or as much as you please. They have an interesting cocktail menu which I am planning to try next time I visit. We drank vodka soda's which were $6 each (so reasonably priced). There is a very cool vibe at this place, the decor is terrific, the bathrooms have quirky features and the DJ plays some rocking tunes! The service was fantastic, we were greeted with a smile when we entered and our waitress was very informative and attentive. I will certainly be back to Bincho!
