The five-wheel lock café is surprisingly located on the canal at the top of the five ascent locks in bingley. the menu is that of an average caffe with breakfast, hot and cold sandwichs, jackenkartoffeln salad, cramp and cake. we ordered us until we got our drinks and said they would let us eat ours. I went for a cup of tea that assured that it was yorkshire tea. my friend ordered a coffee. we have tried to sit outside, but a wind began to pick up so that we went into the house, it was a little bit stuffy inside, but it was better than to catch the serviette outside. We stopped at a café during a leisurely stroll along the canal. The café was not too crowded, and the service was friendly. We ordered a chicken and bacon salad, as well as a feta and olive salad. Both salads were filled with fresh vegetables including lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and olives. They were topped with a delicious ranch dressing that enhanced the fresh flavors. We also enjoyed a pot of tea and a mocha, and the total for our meal came to around £15, which we felt was a great value.

We visited Five Rise Curls, not realizing there was a cafe there. We were pleased to find the café and enjoyed a beautiful latte and hot chocolate. The caramel chocolate brownie was also delicious. We look forward to eating there again. The menu is extensive and affordable, with fast and friendly service. Despite a chilly day, the café wasn't too busy. We returned for dinner and enjoyed a tasty English breakfast for a good value at £5.90 (before 12:30). We were very happy with the food and service.

This quaint little café is worth a stop on your bike tour. The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable.
