But last night while waiting for our meal, an obvious regular walks in with a dog on a leash greets everyone at the bar and proceeds into the kitchen area, visible from my table with dog and I can see all the staff bending over to pet this animal. I was shocked. I told manager stood up and left, never to return Service: Dine in
What can I say? It's a local gem! The service at the bar and from our waitress was fantastic. The smoked chicken was top-notch! It can get quite noisy and energetic on the weekends, but that's part of its charm!

As someone who has spent most of my life as a commercial fisherman, I was excited to take Freud to Cortez Clam Factory for lunch, having had a great experience there in the past. The food has always been hot, and the service has been excellent. However, today I ordered the grouper sandwich and was very disappointed to find that it was not grouper at all—it was cod. It's a bit shady to sell seafood that isn’t what’s listed on the menu. I also have questions about the source of their clams—are they local? Is any of the seafood they serve local? Given that Cortez Fishing Village is just about two miles away, where fresh catches are readily available, I expected better. I won't be making this mistake again.
