Spice and Pepper Cafe and Restaurant

When we stepped out of our car the aromas coming from the restaurant were amazing. Sadly what was served up to us did not match our expectations. We eat Indian cuisine a lot and have travelled in India. We ordered Dahl and a Korma dish. The garlic naan had very little garlic flavour and the mango lassi was sour. The restaurant was very noisy from a small group of other diners so we ate most of our meal and left as quickly as we could!

Never disappointed here, food is great, as is the service, very busy, yet there is adequate staff. Indoor or outdoor options of dining and richt on the beach. Frequently come here.

I'd wanted to try the food here for quite sometime, heard good reports.It's a bit out of the way, 10 minute drive from Bowen town centre, hidden away inside a resort complex.Greeted by a very friendly lady and an extensive and interesting menu. I selected Chicken Tikka, and the Lamb Bhoona with Paratha bread. Could not fault it.I shall definitely return now to try as much from the menu as I can.The food was fresh and aromatic, extremely tasty.Highly recommend.

We ordered take away here on the weekend - veg madras, naan and samosas, all delicious. Bread was light and fluffy, samosas were incredible. Generous portion sizes and very reasonably priced. Service was excellent. I would highly recommend!

I had both dinner and breakfast whilst a guest of the Whitsunday Sands Resort, the Indian restaurant is unimpressive in decor, but the Indian food smells and tastes delicious. I returned for the breakfast and was bitterly disappointed. The selection was minimal ,the presentation was below average and the price was too expensive for what I received on the plate. I recommend the dinner, but the breakfast needs significant improvement considering the options available close by.
