Jae Flem Cafe - Boutte

Came in starving, leaving out with a full happy stomach! Great old school music remind me of my mom and dad!

Was looking for dinner on the way from Houma to New Orleans and decided to try Jae Flem. At first we were unsure if we entered a restaurant or an event, but were quickly, and might I say in a very friendly way greeted and seated.I decided upon the pasta and fish plate, my wife the RonJae burger. I also got a special drink, something akin to a rum punch. Ronjae kept refilling my drink which was awesome and unexpected. The food arrived faster than expected, portion size was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the Cajun pasta with fried catfish, and wife was impressed with her burger.The whole experience was first rate. My wife travels through the area and we have plans of her picking up food to bring home, so we will be able to enjoy more of their food, but we will miss out on this restaurant's most wonderful atmosphere.

Owner makes you feel like family from day 1 and every day after. Makes you feel like a guest instead of just a customer. Food is always excellent. Drinks are A1. This is a great chill place to go hang out eat and drink and listen to some music.
