The Fat Fish Beachfront Bistro

We were recommended to come here lunch. Beautiful day great venue. Not many people but its still not "on" season so I'd say more locals dropping in. Service great and friendly. Because we were heading out for a dinner that night we didn't want to have a big lunch. Partner and I shared the Surf and Turf with Prawn chowder. Steak good, well cooked, three prawns and this is where is got confused. Chowder is really a thick soup. I wondered how they were going to incorporate this with the steak, chips and salad. I should have asked because it really was a mayonnaise type dressing with tinned tuna. Not a chowder. We will go back if in the area again but either question the Surf and Turf or order something else.

We were there a couple of years ago and this time just as good. Great food, great location and great views. Walking distance to caravan park and the stroll along the beach each way is extremely satisfying. We will certainly be back again.

Best Bacon and Eggs ever. Delicious food. Friendly service. Spectacular views overlooking the beach. Open for breakfast lunch and tea.

This is next to Bonny Hills Holiday Park so we are able to eat there for any meal B, L, D. Very relaxed beach atmosphere, plenty of parking and immediate access to beach for before or after relaxing.

Visited here for takeaway brunch. 30 minutes later we left with high expectations that the 1 bacon sandwich, 2 bacon rolls and 3 juices would be something special given the $44 price tag. They weren't. Normally, slow service and over inflated prices wouldn't alone prompt me to write a review of this nature, however the discovery of a long, black hair (most definitely not ours) in one of the bacon rolls was too much to bear. Ultimately, poor customer service and value for money, as well as a clear neglect of proper food hygiene practices culminated in a thoroughly unsatisfactory experience.
