The Cherry Tree - Bolton

Beautiful meal with friends in the cherry tree. the best service we had for a long time in any restaurant and the food was wonderful.

Eating was excellent and personal and service absolutely first class!

This review doesn't give me any joy to write. I can say hand on heart the worse experience I had in any restaurant. first, eating while not the worst overpriced for the portion size and there were several minutes delay in my companion and I main meal times (my companion commented that their food was hardly lukewarm). we have asked our waitress to make our photo, a pretty scene. it is voluntary. a manager was just cleaning the table and I politely asked if it were ok to have a photo close. you'd think I asked her to donate a cute. with a loud sigh “only two minutes, in just doing this” while giving me, my companion and the poor waitress a look as I said niere has been removed! once we came back to the table, the waitress must have seen we felt so uncomfortable and said: "It's so sorry that she can sometimes be quite abrupt" we ate our meal, it was anything but enjoyable and we had so much looking forward to it. Once our meal was over, I asked our beautiful waitress, we could talk to a manager (we specifically said not the one who was so unpleasant). she was coming over, said grumpy manager. it has attempted an elite, inconspicuous apology that suggests that we had completely misunderstood and misunderstood all that she had said. at this point other diner stared past, it was so embarrassing. finally the best, the director came by. I cannot remember his name, his total lack of warmth or empathy seems to have eroded this smaller detail in my mind. his answer “Because they were insulted, but I can assure them that my manager is excellent and would not have done that. I have worked with her for many years and have never had a complain about her.” my companion and I stayed composed. he concluded with “So, yes I could offer them a few glasses of prosecco, fifty percent of their bill but that would say their complaining was justified and I do not think it is and I will not go against my manager.” absolutely terrible!

Was great all, they even got my partner a birthday card after they had forgotten it in the inquiries to take it home unfortunately but really appreciate the gesture. will come back!

Been here a number of times in the past and there hasn't been a drop in quality over the years, this time was no exception. Trinity our waitress was outstanding.
