Westside Drive-In - Boise

Westside Drive In is a culinary gem. When I came from Germany, I had the first Philly Cheesesteak in my life there as well as potatoes with gravity. I was more than happy. The ingredients are fresh, the taste is excellent. In addition, the staff is very friendly. Thank you for this great culinary experience!

Had to try the Ice Cream Potato for Boise during a weekend getaway! Very delicious! I wish we would stand here for our lunch, all the expanded menu!

After seeing a photo of Chef Lou's World Famous Idaho Ice Cream Potato, I added this place to my list to visit months ago. With the summer wind I decided to visit one last Friday night and was glad that I did it! The place was constantly busy; but the service was good and all lines moved. We decided to sit at one of the umbrella covered tables because the weather was good. We were surprised that we saw 2 drive-dru lines; but both were necessary to handle the constant flow of cars. The servers were efficient and friendly; they seemed really fun to work there. My wife chose the French dip and was more than satisfied. I chose the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger (with Tots a Lemonade) and it was also conceivable! The only problem was that there was so much sauce that I had to use 4 or 5 napkins to stay clean. I really don't complain about it. Since the Ice Cream Potato was the first thing that brought us there, we later saved some food and ordered it to dessert. It looked very realistic and delicious!

Big burgers, pommes and even cookies for our dogs. I love her chocolate milkshake with a banana mix. My wife has the ice cream potatoes and I tried... Very delicious desert. They add a spice mixture to season their fries, I think it's good, but if you don't like seasoned fries, only salt can ask.

This joint has a pulse...and tasty food. Crazy variety, but even if you stick close to local favorites like the fingers and baked potato ice cream you won't regret it. Being able to understand absolutely nothing that comes out of the drive thru speaker only adds to the charm. Walk up service was awesome. Food was really good.
