Pengilly's Saloon - Boise

Such a unique establishment it's in the spirit of old west a saloon where you drink whiskey and watch a show. The decor is all 1960's and the bar attendant actually bought me a beer as a first time patron.

This place is pretty great. It's downtown by Blue Sky Bagel. They have live music and plenty of places to sit. They have a water station that you can help yourself to at the bar. The waitresses are all super friendly. Got me a glass of water while I was just sitting there waiting for my friends to show up. The stage area is pretty small and the seating area in that particular section can fit 30 people at the tables. I didn't drink so I don't know how the drinks are. Only huge negative that is a factor in whether or not I go somewhere is the location. It's located downtown. Not a fan of attempting to find parking, but other than that, super cute bar. Oooohh yea, I guess during the week starting in January they have a burlesque show. That is awesome.

Now this is what I call a real Saloon. They had live, local music when I visited. Awesome atmosphere and very authentic saloon feel to the place. They welcome outlaws, to hipsters, and every dirty hippie in between. Come on in and wet your whistle with a cold beer, some hard spirits, or a lemon drop cocktail. Next time I'm on Boise I will definitely swing by for a good buzz.

Great vibe, excellent service. Parking downtown was a challenge but a couple helped us and paid for our parking.
