Emmeli's Cake - Boise

I tried to order a cake twice with her and was turned away for the first time because I was told that I had to notice at least ten days. I gave her the advantage of doubt and tried another time. This time I followed the 10 days lead, but never received an email response until 5 days before I needed the cake. I was told that she was booked for the weekend, although I reached enough time. She has no telephone line where you can get out for orders. It rings and no one answers. I had to follow with an email to see if she had received my request and whether she could do it, the only answer I got was that she was booked for this weekend, no excuse for not seeing it and responding to it. Terrible customer service. Why do people have email and fill out an inquiry if they need to wait for the last minute to get an answer. Luckily I didn't put all my hope in them and went with another baker who reacted the same day. I don't recommend Emmeli's cake.

I don't know if it was just a free day, but that was the worst experience we ever had with a cake shop. We found this place by exploring beautiful custom cakes in the area. We reviewed the website and read the reviews boy we were so wrong! Frankly, how is this place still there? We mailed information about the cake we wanted and asked if it can be done. The answers were quick and friendly. We were stolen when we were informed by e-mail that it can be done so that we placed an order for a 21st birthday cake (yes, milestone bday). In any case, we have the order 3 weeks before we need a lot of time for a small cake (8 10 people). After the first email, I was told I would get a sketch of the cake. It took about 2 Wks before we heard again and no sketch. It was a little frustrating, but I trusted a professional and didn't need any sketch as we had to pick up the cake in 4 days. The day of picking up... I was so refined and humiliated what I got. Guys, it was complete garbage. Nothing as desired. NOTE. Only a cake covered with a very bad attempt in the last minute decor that fell apart. You can say it was awkward. The decor looked like toddler playing dough art. No exaggeration. I couldn't even believe I had to pay for it! Look at what we have on the website. Idk, if it was the owner who came out and showed me the mess, but she apologized. She said she didn't have enough time. Seriously?!? This was for a 21. Birthday...if you had an off-day or a week or a month, you would have had the courtesy or professionalism to communicate this by email, phone or even text! When you knew you couldn't deliver, you should have told me and refunded me what I paid. I would have had time elsewhere. Instead, you gave me a few of my money, because you argued that I had another cake. WTH. Who's doing business? All the cakes at Albertson, Walmart and Fred Meyer were better than the cake we got. I went to your business because I wanted more than a food store cake for a 21st birthday. Thank you for ruining this. The Albertson bakery team felt so bad for me that they threw up the cake you couldn't have in a matter of hours. It was nice and tasty... and waaay cheaper. We kept your cake because it was a expensive cake.

We ordered a gluten-free circus cake for 20 people. It was beautifully decorated, but the real treat was the cake itself. The best we ever had sweet, but not excessively so moist and delicate filling was creamy and light. I highly recommend Emmelis.

I love Emmelis cake! She makes the best cheesecake I've ever had, and they're very cheap. Your bakery is open only by agreement, and it is a nice little place. If I ever need a special cake, I'm here. It is super easy to place orders by e-mail or its website as well, and picking up is easy (Klopft simply LOUD, because it seems as if it were the only one there and it is usually bake/not in the front area). Overall, it is so nice to see places like these still through all frustrating growing pain from Boise. I will definitely come here to support a real little business if they become a rarity in our kidnapped city.

Emmeli was amazing to work with, she was recommended to me by another bakery (they were booked), she made a cake for my daughters Quinceniera in Sept 2022. She gave us the exact design and flavors we asked for. The taste testing went great, she even whipped up a filling to taste that my daughter requested. I felt she gave us good service at a great price. She delivered to the venue and did the final touches on the cake when she arrived to deliver the day of the event.
