Brown Dog Cafe - Blue Ash

I have been here for business and personal events several times since 2010. Every time, the service was prompt and friendly. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable and the dishes demonstrate a real talent for mixing hearty and sweet flavors to create a wonderful kitchen. This is a unique place to go for a fun and delicious evening.

For those of you who appreciate fine food, great service with a smile and dinner with candlelight, then this is the place for you. The atmosphere is exquisite. We had a visit from the chef, Shawn (but I could add) personally brought our desserts to the table. Thanks to everyone that this is a pleasant and fun evening. We'll be back. Julie and Michael L.

Wow! This little place had the best menu for restaurant week and lived to eat. I ate with a group of six we tried the Lake Bass, Ente, Scallops and Boar, and nothing fell short of our expectation. The desserts: Pots de creme, grand marnier creme brulee and pear tart were equally fantastic. Thank you. Brown Dog, a GREAT EXPERIENCE for people from wine and dune.

The black dog cafe serves amazing, imaginative and delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. You can really kick here and eat very nice high-end food without the unfortunateness I appreciate. I was totally crazy about the guy crying over the bread? Who would complain about hot San Francisco Sauerteig directly from the oven as they serve at Brown Dog? Unbelievable. The bread is at the top, it is hard to stop eating it because it is so amazingly delicious. There are so many wonderful things on the menu that I will not even sing out every favorite. If you want great food, perfectly prepared, with beautiful presentation, you should really give this place a try.

It was recommended to me to try this restaurant by a business associate who dines there often. I had a little trouble finding it at first because it is located off Pfeiffer Road and is a little hard to see from the street. I have to honestly say that it was worth the small trouble to find. My wife and I enjoyed our entire evening from the great service to the excellent food. The only trouble we really had was trying to decide what to order because I had the hardest time deciding between the entrees’s because they all looked so good. Fortunately, my wife shared some of hers with me so I had the chance to try two dinners. I definitely plan on going back at least once a month and am going to buy gift certificates from there to give out to my business partners for Christmas. I don't know what restaurant the other reviewer visited but I have a hard time believing it was the same one I was at because things were great and the menu, while not cheap, was well worth the food and completely in line with other restaurants in its class around town. If you like great food in a small intimate environment than give this place a try.
