Shoku Japanese Steak House

Great job taking care of a large group of 11. The food was excellent. The scallops seemed to be the group favorite. My steak and shrimp was very good. My two year old grandson could not eat enough of the grilled onion. This is my father in laws favorite spot and it was fun to go While we were visiting

The first thing to consider here is this is not a Teppanyaki Steak House Do let the web site fool you as it portends to a much nicer place. This is more on the lines of a Teriyaki Cafe yes they have steak and more but this falls very short of a quality Japanese Steak House. Would I eat here again? Yes I would like to try the Soba. No Buckwheat noodles for those looking for it. I order Scallops and Yakiniku this came with a house soup and a salad. Soup was tastey Salad Iceberg Lettuce with a ginger dressing that was bitter. The Scallops were pan seared and over cooked The Yakiniku was tender Rice good Teriyaki Most home made Teriyaki I have had, was not super sweet and had something unique to the task, I would say that this is a standard Teriyaki Sauce Serving size is enough for two people Service was good

We get take out on the regular and really enjoy it. I get the filet hibachi and my wife gets the chicken. You can also ask for mushroom and carrots instead of zucchini and onion if you prefer. They do sometimes get busy and you will have to call more than once to get ahold of them but that's to be expected from a restaurant taking as many carry out orders as they do.

Excellent for being not so fancy schmancy.A lot of food and very good. Left overs which is always good. We will come back when we are in town. Service was really great and efficient and welcoming.

Unless you plan to dine in do not bother. To go order wait of over 30 minutes after trying to call them over 200 times. The phone just goes straight to user busy . This is no way for a restaurant to do business.
