One of the most disappointing experiences we have ever had. We were coming on a multi trip and staying one night but really built this place up and, were even planning on immediately booking again for a longer trip. Nope. Not in a million years. Rooms were terrible; large yes, pointlessly so? definitely; they’re large because it used to be the palace of a dictator and there’s nothing else they can do with the layout. Our “suite” had a wonderful view of what looked like a communist apartment building (see attached picture). The whole place is very dated, worn out and lacking basic modern amenities such as air conditioning, closets that close and, basic human comforts. The whole hotel was devoid of any feeling or personality and felt pretentious and, past it’s prime. The staff we experienced were pleasant and helpful enough but, that was only two people in 24 hours of us being there. There are some positives though: it’s in a great location, has its own private swimming area on the lake and, looks nice from a distance. Breakfast was average but the view from the terrace was lovely in the morning. Do not waste your money at this place. Rooms: Rooms are worn out, lack any personality and basic amenities. Noteworthy details: The whole place is a worn out shadow of a communist past.
