The Bartons arms has developed a great reputation but sometimes reputation can count against you when expectations are perhaps unrealistically high.

If enjoying great beer and good food in stunning victorian surroundings isn't your thing, the Bartons Arms probably isn't for you.

Lovely pub. Artistic. Majestic staircase. Good choice of drinks. Delicious Thai food. Ornate fireplaces. Great meeting place

The pub is fantastic, serving delicious Thai food. It gets very crowded on game days, and is conveniently located within walking distance of Villa Park.

I recently came across a vintage photo of Laurel and Hardy outside the Barton's Arms. It's amazing to see the exact spot where the picture was taken.

The food is still amazing but if they don't sort out the service this place won't exist in a year's time.
