Jyoti - Birmingham

I have been a loyal customer of Jyoti for nearly four decades. The quality of their food has always been consistent, and this fantastic restaurant serves some of the most delicious vegetarian dishes you will ever taste. It is a great value for money and definitely worth a visit.

I am very happy that Jyoti's has reopened, even if it is only for takeout. The vegetarian and vegan food they offer is of high quality, and the Dosa corner is a delightful taste of Southern Indian cuisine.

Instead of ordering from the menu we asked for a vegan meal for two. Well! This is may not be a lavish place to eat, but the food is outstanding. Every dish was superb and well thought out. Thoroughly delicious, even my non vegan husband ate from every dish and really enjoyed it. Lots of food, good portion size, and served by someone who clearly enjoyed their work. Nice clean restaurant, take your own alcohol, and well priced food. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

We visited this place with a few friends for Sunday lunch and I must say that the food was amazing! Authentic home cooked food. The food wasn’t greasy like usual Indian places and the rotis, poori and Channa were out of the world. The service was also good and the owners accommodated all our needs. Memorable visit and we certainly will return soon.

The only thing served warm in this restaurant is food. Everything else is cold. Begins with a cold reception and continues with a cold, lonely exit. Average food, at least what we ordered. Special Dosa, Chana-Bhatutra etc. Samosa chaat was quite good hence 2 stars. It is a family run restaurant and apparently Jamie Oliver always comes down to this place whenever he is in Birmingham. Will be very surprised if he still does. There are several far better places to eat similar kind of food in the area. Unfortunately would not go back in there again.
