I visited felinis with a grad contempt as my brother had told me about a devastating evening he had spent there. we sat very fast, but from some reason our drink order was not accepted. Finally we ordered some drinks and our food at the same time. our Antepasto star was very nice. my main handle was with my main court. I ordered risotto, like my partner. when it arrived, my partner was well cooked and mine was very undercooked. undercooked risotto has a gritty texture that is, quite simple, inedible. like eating a sand sandwich. When my group arrived at the restaurant, we were informed that our table was not available even though we had made a reservation in advance through OpenTable. This ruined the evening for us completely. We had booked the table to give my mother a nice evening near the anniversary of my father's passing. I am deeply disappointed and will not be using this service again. The customer service was absolutely unacceptable.
I am appalled that after booking weeks in advance via Open Table for a reservation at the Filini Restaurant my wife and I arrived to find the venue pre booked for an organised corporate event so that we then had to find an alternative restaurant on a cold night in Birmingham to celebrate my wife's birthday. I find the Open Table service highly disappointing when we had booked far in advance Open Table even sent me a reminder of the booking on the day! to then trek out somewhere and find another restaurant (at additional expense because you will realise choice would have been limited on a Saturday night). I am loath to recommend the Open Table service to anyone else and would like to share my disappointment at this unreliable service I would have thought that the whole point of using a service such as Open Table would be the ability to rely on any arrangements and it is Open Table'a responsibility to inform people when things go awry as it happened we were under the impression that we had a table booked up to the point we arrived at the restaurant....!
Upon our arrival, we were informed that there was a Christmas party taking place and that our reserved table was not available. We were told that the restaurant does not acknowledge or utilize OpenTable for reservations. We were seated in the lobby bar with the other party guests and handed menus. Unfortunately, when our food was served, it was cold and the steaks were mainly fat. This was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had and we will not be returning. We advise everyone to choose a different option. Disappointing.
After attending a play at the theater, we enjoyed a delicious meal at this restaurant. The menu had a great variety of options and it was conveniently located near the theater. We appreciated the quiet atmosphere compared to the bustling restaurants near the hippodrome, allowing us to chat easily. The hotel restaurant on the first floor had a relaxed ambiance, but the service was a bit slow and lacking attention to detail. For example, we had to ask for our drinks after the starters and request a steak knife. We opted for the theater set menu, which was much better, but there was a mistake on our bill (which was promptly corrected after bringing it to their attention). Make sure to double check the bill before paying.
