Angel Garden Chinese - Birmingham

The food at this restaurant is terrible, it definitely tastes like it was reheated and old. I ordered delivery on a Wednesday because my usual restaurant, Classic Canton, was closed. I regretted my decision and would not recommend anyone else to eat here. Consider yourself warned. Best regards.

Ordered few times, they cancel orders regular, staff very unhelpful. Have visited the shop and it is in need of a deep clean, owner difficult and not really very helpful. Much better around, be warned if ordering for the first time.

Ordered the deluxe dim sum combo with a portion of sweet and sour chicken, rice and chips. The chips tasted like they were from the day before and heated up in the fryer, the ribs were the same the meat was literally fused to the bone in a solid dry mass, the prawn toast was completely devoid of moisture and again tasted like it had been twice deep fried. the dim sum were dry and may or may not have been twice fried. the sweet and sour chicken was also either overcooked or again re fried from the previous night. The crab claws were lovely, i suspect the only thing cooked fresh and the rice itself tasted okay. We phoned to complain and were told we were to be sent out a new order. we asked if they wanted to take the bad order back and were told no, just throw it. So we fed it to the dog. 20 minutes later the restaurant rang and said they did need the order returned as the chef needed to check it and if they didn't receive the first order they would not send out the replacement food. So we are left 13 quid out of pocket and hungry. The dog ate it okay and even seemed to enjoy it however he spends most of the day licking his own balls so i can't with good conscience let him post a review here. I wish i had more closely read the reviews online before ordering.

I usually use Golden Wok in Blackheath but after watching Panorama I checked the hygiene of my usual takeaway suspects and was disappointed to hear they only scored a 3. So we were in search for new takeaway sources for our Chinese fix. We came across Angel Garden Chinese in Oldbury and I placed an order coming to a total of £20 with £2 of that being delivery but I liked that it has no minimum order. We are pescatarian so did call ahead about a Dim sum sharer, to check the samosa content for meat they checked and confirmed they are vegetarian. I completed the order and shortly after received a call from them as in the notes I had stated our dietary requirements. They advised the crispy wonton was mixed with chicken and offered to switch it up for us. On arrival which was before JustEats estimated time, we were very impressed. It was all cooked perfectly, great flavours and genuinely nicer than our usual takeout. Will now be out go to for Chinese. All very pleasant Little touches make all the difference, including the driver who greeted me by my name : Superb!! Recommended!!

My family has been patronizing this Chinese restaurant for years. However, tonight the lady who answered the phone was abrasive and impolite. We will not be returning to dine here again.
