Contribuiți la feedbackThe ambiance is simple yet comfortable, with 8-10 four-top tables that can be rearranged to suit your group. During our Wednesday night visit, the restaurant wasn't too busy, and the lone staff member provided satisfactory service. At the end of the meal, you settle your bill at the counter. Plus, if you check in on Yelp, you can enjoy a 10% discount! Now let's talk about the food—it was fantastic. The Vegetable Samosas were a highlight, with a delicious filling of seasoned potatoes, onions, and peas bursting with flavor. The fried pastry shell was perfectly crispy, complemented by excellent mint chutney and tamarind dipping sauces. The Chicken Korma was equally delightful, served over rice and reminiscent of southern comfort food. I ordered mine with a medium spice level (3 out of 6), and it had a pleasing kick to it. The Garlic Naan was perfect for soaking up the rich sauce. David L opted for the Sheek Kabab, which was impressive as well—served on a sizzling plate, reminiscent of Mexican fajitas rather than the expected skewered meat. It’s a dish I would highly recommend. Overall, the portions are generous and the prices are quite reasonable, making Sitar a great dining choice in the area!
Fantastic food and you can get spicing to your taste. I've never been disappointed after eating their food for years.
The decor is simple and understated, featuring Nepalese and Indian artwork. We arrived late on a Wednesday night, and while the dining room was empty, several people still came in to pick up their orders. Our server promptly took our drink orders and meal selections. Paul, Austin, and I decided to share our dishes family-style. The basmati rice was fluffy and flavorful, and the buttered naan topped with cilantro was absolutely delicious. The oversized samosas, filled with seasoned potato, onion, peas, and herbs, were a standout—dipping them in the mint chutney was pure bliss! The chicken korma was also excellent; Paul ordered it with a spice level of 3 out of 6, and it had just the right amount of heat. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and I particularly enjoyed the creamy coconut curry sauce. I ordered the Sheek Kabab, which featured grilled, seasoned ground beef served on a sizzling plate over a bed of sliced cabbage and grilled onions, garnished with cilantro—similar to Mexican fajitas. The spice level of 3 out of 6 was just right! It came with a bowl of tikka masala for dipping or garnish, adding to the dish's appeal. Despite the takeout crowd, Sitar maintained a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Our server was fantastic, checking on us frequently; he was friendly and eager to ensure we had a great experience. The only downside was the parking situation, but I plan to visit again, as I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.
I called in an order at Sitar for a couple of my friends and myself. I ordered an extra spicy order of paneer tikka masala and a bullet naan. When we walked in to pick it up, the employees were very kind and patient. The food was ready very quickly and still hot by the time we took it back home to eat it. The food was extra spicy just the way that I had asked for it to be and the naan was very soft and fluffy. They also included an order of rice with my entree which was also full to the brim of the container. Overall, I really enjoyed all of the food that I ordered.
Everything about this restaurant is fantastic— the service, the atmosphere, and of course, the food are just incredible! Don’t wait; go there today! Haha!
