Magnolia Cafe. - Birmingham

We found this café because it was close to our hotel. I had the fried fish fillet, sweet potato casserole, cream corn and dressing. My spouse had the lemon chicken, butter beans and dressing. Sweet tea was delicious. The staff was very friendly. We visited the manager/owner? Who made other recommendations while we were in town. What a friendly and personal guy. I would recommend it here. If you are a local, you should visit this place.

Had a friend here for lunch last week and really enjoyed it. this is not an exciting cafeteria style meat 3, but everything was on site. I have the pecan huh and would have it definitiw again. eating is reasonable and the portions were great enough to fill me. a must try if they are in the mood for a good south kitchen.

We love this place and the people who put the team together here! We have eaten here about 15-20 times and it is always fresh and delicious! Often in cafeteria-type places, the food is not seasoned as you want to be it- but not here! What a great experience!

We went on Friday and they were pretty busy. The food was really good. Loved her sweet potato casserole and the collar. They had a choice between 3 meats and 8 to 10 vegetables. (I had 4 and all were good). Yes, it's a little expensive for lunch, but we'll be worth it, as it's so hard to find good house style cooking. I am very picky on my tea and was so glad I tried it here! The two men who worked there were very friendly and quite efficient. They apologized for waiting because they were so busy, but honestly it wasn't bad. I'm sorry for this long review, but I noticed other reviews and felt like some were very misleading. I wish we could give half stars, because this is actually a 4-and-a-half-star place (if you don't like)

Food was delicious! Good southern cooking, perfectly seasoned. Staff was very friendly, cafe was clean. I was disappointed in the price though, our bill was over $30 for lunch! It was great and we may go back if on that side of town, but it was definitely priced too high for lunch in my opinion. Would have given 5 stars if it was cheaper
