I chose this restaurant based on the online reviews I read. I had to make a reservation because I was dining with a few of my colleagues. I ordered the prime New York strip steak, which came pre-sliced. The steak was decent, a bit bland in my opinion. I was hoping for something more unique given the price. The Yukon potatoes were delicious. The service was excellent overall.

I finally scored a reservation here, or so I thought. Checked in at the front desk and then realized I made it for 4 weeks in the future. ???? The creativity at Helen is undeniable. I have shared a picture of their refreshing summer non-alcoholic drinks and their heavenly "angel biscuits". Both are highly recommended. This is our second time dining at Helen in the past two months, and the menu is constantly changing. The dishes are perfect for sharing with family, as you will want to taste everything that is brought to the table. The staff, including the waiters, bartenders, and hosts, are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. This has become our go-to spot at Helen.

By far the best meal we have ever had. We got the corn ribs, squash au gratin, kale salad, and filet. Everything was amazing and just the right amount to feed 2 people. The house punch cocktail is also the BEST. So good we had 4 of them!! Will definitely come back here whenever I?m Birmingham.
