El Girasol - Birmingham

Girosol is the real thing. Authentic mexican food as if it were flown in that morning. Everything is fresh and unique. Very delicious. The atmosphere is a bit shabby, but so what, thats what you get with the real thing. Reasonable prices too. Check it out!

I was born raised in San Antonio, TX and grew up on quality, authentic Mexican food. I relocated to Birmingham 14 months ago and have been actively searching for any taqueria which might give me a slight reminder of home. Take it on advisement from a die-hard foodie that El Girasol's food will make you think you've been telepiorted to Guadalajara for a family style meal fit for the return of a Prodigal son! Hands-down the best stop for authentic Mexican in Birmingham.

Authentic Mexican food. I’ve had several dishes that were amazing. The red mole is super flavorful. The service was quick, prices are fair.

I used to work there they are strict the owner yells at the workers but food is good there grilled chicken and ribs are good.

I've only had my son's leftovers from here and this place is the real deal.
